As for personality traits, youre gonna have to experiemnt on that. THAT'S when they like you to the point where you can ask for their card (for fusion purposes). Sometimes you mix more than one diamonds so they'll be a mess of emotions and that one is hard to predict what'll happen. and its pretty obvious what the red diamond is. Filling up the blue diamond will cause them to be afraid and run away.

Say you filled up Green (Happy), the demon will be inflicted by the Happy status effect and wont attack. Try to prevent the others especially the Red diamond. or is that P2?) But basically, you need to focus on that. It will be indicated by a yellow "!" (I think. Now you want to fill up the yellow diamond or "intrigue". In this case, the 4 diamonds you see are the demon's emotions. there's so much to choose but you have to pick carefully. Your guy can persuade and sing, Mark can dance and stare, Maki can cringe and lie.

They each have very unique ways of interacting. Not only can you decide what your protagonist can say/do but your entire party as well. Now Negotiations in P1 are much much trickier than P5.

#2: How does the talking/negotiation work?! Is it like P5 and I can get new personas if I convince them? What's up with the diamond diagram whenever I try and talk to the shadows? For many battles so far, I tried talking to shadows and it seemed they enjoyed my choice of persuade/convince/sing/dance, or whatever but the menu just popped back up again? How do I successfully negotiate with them?! After some experimentation, (and please correct me if I'm wrong,) it seems as though you can only have a certain amount of people in a row, and that two people cannot be adjacent to each other in the four main directions (front, back, left, right).Īlso can someone explain to me what's up with all my characters' weapon ranges being all limited are weird the moment I get ambushed from behind (All of a sudden Nanjo can only attack on row ahead wtf?!) I tried to mess with the formation and it wouldn't let me change people's positions to certain places. #1: What's up with the formation? It seemed basic up until I got ambushed from behind. I'm surprised that the moment everything starts going down and the "dungeon" crawling begins in the hospital, battles start without ANY tutorial. I'm at the point where I have to go to the SEBEC(?) building and I have a lot of questions about the fighting - the formation and negotiation mechanics in general. So I just started P1 on the PSP and I'm enjoying it so far (That battle them, though! <3)
